Position: Clinical Trials Sourcing Specialist – Global
Location: EMEA Region (Office-based, Hybrid, or Fully Remote in Spain, UK, or other EMEA countries)

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy Development:

  • Partner with the Sourcing Manager to create and implement strategies for procuring clinical trial materials and services.

  • Conduct market research to identify suppliers that meet quality, compliance, and cost expectations.

  • Analyze demand trends and forecast product needs to mitigate market shortages and maximize sourcing opportunities.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify sourcing-related risks and establish mitigation strategies to minimize trial disruptions.

  • Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other regulatory standards.

  • Maintain up-to-date data on product availability and sourcing intelligence.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Support tender processes by collaborating with the Proposal Development team.

  • Build relationships with manufacturers and wholesalers to provide valuable sourcing solutions.

  • Liaise with stakeholders across Clinical Operations, QA/QC, QPs, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment and smooth project integration.

  • Manage transition from quote/PO to delivery timelines with operations teams.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Identify and propose enhancements to sourcing processes using automation or digital solutions.

  • Contribute to ongoing efficiency and effectiveness improvements within the sourcing function.

Quality Management System:

  • Support investigations related to deviations, complaints, or audits of sourced clinical trial pharmaceuticals.

  • Provide required documentation and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in clinical trials or pharmaceuticals.

Skills Required:

  • Strong foundation in strategic sourcing practices and supplier management.

  • Understanding of APAC & LATAM comparator markets.

  • Experience in clinical trial material/service procurement and regulatory frameworks.

  • Skilled in supplier negotiations, forecasting, and contract management.

  • Excellent communication, client relationship, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • High standards of customer service and operational excellence.

  • Fluent in English (interviews conducted in English).
