Internship Program Overview:
The OncoImmuno Summer Intern Program at Johnson & Johnson is a 3-month, full-time internship designed for undergraduate and graduate students in oncology and immunology. The internship will run from May 12 - August 15, 2025, offering an exciting opportunity for students to contribute to clinical trials and drug development. Interns will gain experience in clinical research and may assist with various aspects of oncology or immunology clinical studies from Phase I to III.

Interns will be mentored and may contribute to clinical trial protocol development, study materials, literature reviews, data review, and support regulatory filings. They will be expected to present their work at the end-of-program research symposium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand clinical research and Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with trial activities such as patient tracking, eligibility reviews, and document management.
  • Participate in cross-functional and clinical team meetings.
  • Help develop study training materials and assist with site initiation visits.
  • Support clinical teams with study setup, execution, and close-out activities.
  • Contribute to clinical data review, including query generation and resolution.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for health authority submissions.
  • Participate in abstract/poster preparation for the research symposium.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College program.
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least four semesters.
  • Pursuing a degree in biology, cell/molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, pre-med, pharmacy, nursing, or related fields.
  • Graduate students must be pursuing a master’s, PharmD, PA, or PhD or another clinical-related degree.
  • Self-motivated, with a passion for drug development and clinical research.
  • Proven leadership and participation in campus or service programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred:

  • Experience with clinical trial management or related field.
