About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Research Technician to join our team in Madison, WI. In this full-time, office/clinic-based position, you will engage directly with healthy volunteer participants and gain valuable experience in clinical research protocols. You will work in a dynamic environment with exposure to a diverse array of therapeutic indications and study types, including ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, and drug-drug interactions. This role requires a mix of morning, night, and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-standard care for participants in clinical trials and respond to emergencies based on clinical research standards.
  • Perform and accurately record blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
  • Prepare and record ECGs/Holters accurately.
  • Collect and process biological samples as specified in protocols, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Monitor meals for dietary compliance by research participants.
  • Assist in preparing rooms and medical equipment, and with screening procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification is preferred.
  • Associates degree in a related field and 1 year of clinical research experience may substitute for a BS degree.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years as a Clinical Research Technician I may substitute for a BS degree.
  • Previous clinical experience is ideal, but we are open to recent graduates or candidates with recent medical experience.
