Purpose:

Through clinical expertise and scientific training, the Clinical Research Physician supports launch and commercialization activities, new product development, and enhances customer interactions. This role spans phases of clinical trial development, product life-cycle management, regulatory support, strategic scientific communication, and health care provider (HCP) engagement for Incretin and obesity-related therapies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support pre/post-launch activities (symposia, advisory boards, training, scientific responses).

  • Design and oversee Phase 3b/4 clinical studies and real-world evidence initiatives.

  • Collaborate in clinical trial protocol development and site engagement.

  • Lead scientific data dissemination (conferences, publications, advisory boards).

  • Maintain relationships with external scientific experts and professional societies.

  • Ensure compliance with local/international clinical regulations and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).

  • Provide medical and regulatory support to global pricing, reimbursement, and access (PRA) plans.

  • Analyze scientific literature and maintain updated knowledge on competitive products and therapies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD).

  • Board eligible/certified in Endocrinology, Diabetology, or comparable clinical training.

  • Graduates must be from LCME-approved medical schools.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without Lilly's sponsorship.

Preferences:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (medical affairs/development).

  • Expertise in Obesity and Diabetes therapeutic areas.

  • Knowledge of the drug development process.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Salary Range:

$198,000 – $330,000
(plus company bonus eligibility and full benefits including 401(k), pension, medical/dental/vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and wellness benefits).
