Join our Clinical Development team at our state-of-the-art Phase 1 Clinic located at Drapers Yard in Leeds. Our 65,000 ft² facility, equipped with over 100 beds, is just a seven-minute walk from the train station and focuses on early clinical research.

Your Role as a Clinical Research Nurse

In this position, you’ll work closely with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies during a critical phase of clinical development, assessing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs. Your nursing skills will be vital in ensuring the care and monitoring of participants during clinical trials while maintaining ethical standards.

This role allows you to develop close relationships with participants (healthy volunteers and patients), practice your clinical skills, and engage with cutting-edge medical technologies. When a drug you worked on is approved, you'll know you’ve made a significant impact on countless lives.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Provide high-quality nursing diagnosis and care, responding to emergencies with clinical judgment.

  • Monitor participant well-being and document any adverse events.

  • Obtain informed consent and educate participants about study procedures.

  • Administer investigational compounds, including parenteral medications.

  • Perform study-related procedures, such as cannulation, telemetry, vital signs, ECGs, and venipuncture.

  • Collect and process biological samples according to study protocols and SOPs.

  • Accurately record data in electronic systems and Case Report Forms.

Qualifications

  • NMC registered nurse.

  • BLS certified (ILS certification to be acquired in the role).

  • Previous experience with Electronic Data Capture tools and Veeva is a plus.

  • Previous Research Nurse experience is ideal but not essential; we welcome recent graduates and those with relevant nursing experience.

Work Environment

We are looking for candidates who thrive in:

  • A fast-paced environment with strict adherence to study protocols.

  • An ever-changing setting where prioritization and adaptability are crucial.

  • A collaborative team atmosphere where strong interpersonal skills are key.
