Position Highlights:

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Arizona is seeking Clinical Research Coordinators I to support a variety of clinical research studies led by our faculty. The role involves coordinating and evaluating research involving infants, children, and adults. Responsibilities include collaboration with clinical research staff, database management, and interaction with faculty members. Current studies encompass federal and industry-sponsored research on COVID-19, sepsis, respiratory failure, influenza, cardiac arrest, and snakebites.

Available Positions:

  • Position 1: Sunday to Thursday
  • Position 2: Monday to Friday

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Study Coordination: Oversee all active studies, participate in project development and implementation, and assist with the informed consent process.
  • Participant Management: Identify eligible participants, conduct pre-consent screening, and maintain rapport with study subjects.
  • Data Management: Perform data entry and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance, maintain master database files, and document participant interactions.
  • Communication: Liaise with investigators, sponsors, and clinical teams regarding study progress and issues, and address recruitment and retention challenges.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare for and participate in audits and quality reviews, assist in regulatory submissions, and ensure adherence to study protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with research protocols and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • CPR certification.

The salary range represents the University of Arizona's estimate for this position. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience and education.
