Job Summary

Stanford University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to support research activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the success of clinical studies. This role requires experience with research protocols, regulatory standards, and data management, along with strong interpersonal and technical skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, FDA regulations, Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements, and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).

  • Utilize qualitative software and coding methodologies to manage study data.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external organizations.

  • Manage documentation and reporting related to research studies.

  • Adhere to Stanford University’s policies and safety standards.


Desired Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two years of clinical research experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Experience with qualitative software and coding methodologies.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and fine grasping.

  • Occasional desk-based computer tasks, telephone use, and lifting of objects up to 40 lbs.

  • Rare kneeling, crawling, and sorting paperwork.
