Job Title: Clinical Pharmacy Manager

Position Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing policies and procedures related to drug purchasing, usage, distribution, and control. This role ensures that the pharmacy is an integral part of the healthcare delivery system while enhancing and expanding pharmacy services and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Create and oversee policies and procedures for drug procurement, usage, distribution, and control.

  • Pharmacy Integration: Ensure the pharmacy’s role in the healthcare delivery system is recognized and promote the enhancement and expansion of pharmacy services.

  • Specialty Medication Management: Facilitate the procurement, ordering, and dispensing of specialty medications, including chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, and controlled substances as appropriate.

  • Education and Mentorship: Maintain proficiency as a preceptor, actively demonstrating education and mentorship skills to students and staff.

  • Training Development: Design and implement training experiences and competencies for students, residents, and staff, while fostering new teaching and training relationships.

  • Medication Use Improvement: Identify, design, and implement improvements in the medication-use system to enhance patient safety, maximize therapeutic outcomes, and control costs.

  • Patient Counseling: Provide discharge medication reviews, reconciliation, and counseling as necessary.

  • Quality and Safety Interventions: Identify high-risk patients and implement interventions to enhance quality and safety in medication management.

  • Quality Management Program: Establish and maintain long- and short-term goals for the Quality Management Program. Monitor and document progress on Quality Improvement Projects, providing guidance and education to staff on quality priorities.

  • Pharmaceutical Care Services: Facilitate pharmaceutical care services and direct patient care programs, ensuring drug utilization aligns with patient needs, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards.

Location: Sargasan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Relocation: Reliable commute or planning to relocate preferred.

Education: Doctorate (preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of total work experience (preferred).
