Role Overview: Clinical Operations Manager

As a Clinical Operations Manager at ICON, you will lead the Clinical Operations team in meeting key performance metrics. You will work closely with leadership to enhance team capabilities, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and accountability for operational teams at regional and site levels.
  • Oversee resourcing, line management, training, and functional delivery within the Clinical Operations group.
  • Conduct regular discussions with direct reports and lead team meetings at regional and managerial levels.
  • Assist with training for CRA Managers and Associates as needed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for operational inquiries and escalations in the region.
  • Collaborate with the Director/Senior Director and/or VP of Clinical Operations to communicate critical issues, business growth opportunities, and budget inputs.
  • Drive overall service execution, client satisfaction, quality, and efficiency at site and regional levels.
  • Represent Clinical Operations during sponsor and internal audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 6 years of clinical research experience, including at least 4 years as a Senior CRA or Principal CRA in a lead role, or 2 years as a Project Manager, CRA Manager, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and the ability to review and evaluate medical data.
  • Strong management skills, with a collaborative approach to driving performance in a global environment.
  • Direct experience managing Clinical Research Associates is preferred.
