About the Role
Labcorp is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the team at Ascension St. John Broken Arrow in Broken Arrow, OK. In this position, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, contributing to Labcorp’s mission of improving health and lives. You will perform complex technical procedures, ensure proper functionality of laboratory instruments, and provide accurate test results for quality patient care.

Work Schedule

  • 4 x 10-hour shifts: Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionality.

  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.

  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

  • Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.

  • Assist with specimen processing when needed.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.

  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Proficient with computers and familiar with laboratory information systems.

  • High attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.

  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
