Clinical Laboratory Quality Coordinator

Position Overview:

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Quality Coordinator to join its Quality Assurance team in Westborough, MA. This role provides essential support to laboratories, senior management, clients, and other Labcorp sites. It is an excellent opportunity for laboratory professionals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support quality assurance, control, improvement, and training projects.
  • Prepare and support the laboratory for regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain inspection-related documents and materials.
  • Provide backup inspection support during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with proficiency testing and examinations.
  • Coordinate and track external and internal proficiency testing.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare audit reports.
  • Compile recurring quality reports for laboratory operations.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory and proficiency test requirements.
  • Manage Master Control forms for audit purposes.
  • Participate in monthly Quality Meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum: Associate’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (or meet CLIA & State requirements).
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience as a Medical Technologist/Technician or in a quality-related role.
    • Prior experience in a clinical laboratory (preferred).
    • General knowledge of CAP/CLIA/ISO regulations and licensing requirements.
    • Basic understanding of audit procedures and requirements.
    • Working knowledge of quality assurance best practices.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
