Role Overview:
We are looking for a Clinical Informaticist Coder to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development and improvement of our risk adjustment solutions, reporting to the Senior Director of Health Outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with product and customer success teams to understand and improve the adoption of CDS definitions for risk adjustment.
  • Validate coding and clinical documentation guidelines for risk adjustment solutions.
  • Create and maintain code groups and value sets for HCC (Hierarchical Condition Categories) definitions.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminologies (RxNorm, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Strong understanding of body systems, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • In-depth experience with clinical workflows, EHRs, and clinical documentation.
  • Experience using clinical data and analytics to develop new healthcare solutions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to represent clear and concise results.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Administration with two years of medical coding experience, or four years as a medical coder.
  • Coding experience with a HCC Model is preferred.
  • Must have a current coding certification (RHIT/RHIA, or Certified Professional Coder) with a minimum of 3-5 years of risk adjustment coding experience.
