Job Description:

The Clinical Data Team Lead (CDTL) position at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. presents a unique opportunity to lead high-impact data management projects that propel scientific research forward. As a CDTL, you will be the primary data manager for one or more projects, ensuring flawless execution and strict adherence to project protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data management activities for studies of limited volume or complexity, with support from senior team members.
  • Ensure effective communication between departments and clients to facilitate smooth execution of study-related data activities.
  • Apply relevant project protocols to daily tasks and provide guidance to team members.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the Project Lead, clients, and the data management team.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Deliver study-specific training for project staff and produce regular status reports.
  • Assist in business development by contributing to bid preparation and representing data management at bid defense meetings.
  • Help with project forecasting, identify resource needs, and present potential out-of-scope activities to the Project Lead and management.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide administrative and financial management support for allocated projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic qualification.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data management or a related field.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may also be considered sufficient.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with interactive computer programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit flexibility in changing environments.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train and lead study teams, manage timelines, and adjust schedules as necessary.
