Job Responsibilities:

  • Medical Coding Leadership: Lead multicenter large trials, ensuring coding consistency and quality checks on coding listings.
  • Coding Process and Regulatory Knowledge: Understand coding regulatory requirements and protocol-related dependencies.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize coding tools such as Thesaurus Management System (TMS), RAVE Coder, and Inform Central Coding for coding and quality control activities.
  • Data Management Support: Contribute to clinical trial data management activities, including query management, serious adverse event (SAE) reconciliation, and listings review.
  • Coding Setup and User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Experience in coding setup activities and supporting UAT for coding systems.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Ensure accurate coding data transfer and maintain familiarity with coding databases.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • BS/BA degree in Biological Sciences, Healthcare, Clinical Research, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of hands-on medical coding experience.
    • Familiarity with WHODrug and medical coding processes.
    • Experience in coding large, multicenter trials and quality control processes.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with sponsors and internal stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
    • Experience managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments, especially within a matrix-structured setup.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% as necessary.
