Job Title: Client Partner - Medical Coding (Inpatient Coding - IP/DRG)

Job Description:

Join Access Healthcare as a Client Partner for Inpatient Medical Coding (IP/DRG) and be part of a company that values your expertise. This role involves ensuring accurate coding, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain expertise in CPT-4, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and UHDDS guidelines.
  • Stay updated on AHA coding clinic updates and third-party coding requirements.
  • Write physician queries in compliance with OIG and UHDDS regulations.
  • Utilize knowledge of MS-DRG, MDC, AP-DRG, and APR-DRG for DRG assignment.
  • Ensure accurate identification of CC (complication or comorbidity) and MCC (major complication or comorbidity).
  • Work within Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) programs for coding accuracy.
  • Use hospital coding Encoder tools like 3M, Trucode, etc.
  • Review inpatient and observation medical records, assigning ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes with appropriate modifiers.
  • Maintain 95% accuracy in coding while achieving productivity and turnaround targets.
  • Conduct internal audits and training programs to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Work on continuous process improvement to prevent revenue leakage while ensuring compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduates in Life Sciences with 1 - 4 years of experience in medical coding.
  • CCS/CIC certification with hospital coding experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical coding, billing systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, and auditing concepts.
  • Ability to meet accuracy (95%), productivity targets, and turnaround times.
  • Willingness to undergo AAPC and AHIMA certifications through employer-sponsored training.
