Key Responsibilities

Data Management and Validation

  • Oversee and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data entry screens, edit checks, and targeted SDV configurations.

  • Validate and correct clinical database discrepancies, ensuring compliance with Data Validation Specifications (DVS).

  • Manage lab normal ranges, database design, and updates to study-specific Data Management Plans (DMP).

  • Conduct Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reconciliations and generate customized data cleaning reports.

Database Coordination and Quality Control

  • Review and maintain consistency between external datasets (e.g., lab, PK, IRT data) and clinical databases.

  • Coordinate post-migration testing for screens, edits, and matrices.

  • Design and/or review CRFs/eCRFs and contribute to associated database design and structure.

  • Develop and perform QC on Data Dictionaries and other essential deliverables.

Project Leadership and Training

  • Train and mentor junior Clinical Data Associates (CDAs) and team members on data management systems and protocols.

  • Serve as a backup to Project Data Managers (PDM) for sponsor communication and document updates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Biostatistics, Safety, Clinical Programming) to align on data operations.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, natural sciences, or healthcare-related field.

  • Previous experience in clinical research, data management, or drug development preferred.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Clinical, Rave, or Inform systems is advantageous.

Technical Proficiency

  • Skilled in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and email applications.

  • Strong understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and medical terminology.

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines.
