Your Job:
As the Business Development Manager for the UK and Ireland, you will manage your own sales territory, consisting of a combination of named accounts and geographic markets, to achieve annual and quarterly signing and revenue targets. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Acquisition: Generate new clients through cold calling, networking, business partnerships, and sales activities to promote PharmaLex services.
  • Market Identification: Identify valuable and emerging companies, deploying a comprehensive array of sales techniques to find and close business to meet or exceed targets.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal operational departments to continually develop and enhance the value proposition.
  • Representation: Act as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the sales process from lead generation and proposal to contract negotiation and deal closure, utilizing PharmaLex resources as needed.
  • Participation: Actively participate in all global and regional sales meetings, including face-to-face meetings one to two times per year and other virtual meetings as required.
  • Networking: Leverage your external and internal contacts to acquire new business.

Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: Proven experience in selling clinical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance solutions, and complex service contracts within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device markets.
  • Results Orientation: A strong drive for results and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic global matrix environment.
  • Business Development Skills: A demonstrated ability to hunt for and close new business opportunities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a very good command of English.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel within your territory and globally as required.
