Role Title: Business Development Manager – Australian Market Expansion
Role Summary:
o2h Discovery is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to support the company's expansion into the Australian market. The role will focus on building and nurturing relationships with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies while identifying new business opportunities to drive growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Expansion Strategy: Develop and execute a strategy to expand o2h Discovery’s presence in Australia, aligning with the company’s global goals.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the business pipeline through market surveys, identifying growth areas, trends, and competition analysis. Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to leverage company strengths for effective market positioning.
  • Networking & Relationship Building: Utilize existing networks and create new relationships within the biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors to promote services and form strategic partnerships.
  • o2h Kickstarter Initiative: Build a network with VCs and academia to onboard them as o2h Platinum partners for the Kickstarter programme.
  • Event & Conferences: Represent o2h at industry events, trade shows, and webinars.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market insights to identify potential clients and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with research, operations, and leadership teams to align commercial strategies with company capabilities.
  • Business Case Development: Prepare comprehensive business cases, including market potential, strategies, and ROI assessments.
  • Management Presentation: Present business cases to management, detailing resources, infrastructure needs, financial projections, and ROI to aid decision-making.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the CRO/FTE/Pharma industry with a track record in business development.
  • Strong understanding of BD principles, strategy, and design.
  • Experience in managing RFIs/RFPs/RFQs and collaborator visits.
  • Passion for marketing and investment, with a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Proficiency in marketing software tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and SEMRush.
  • Creative thinking to identify new customers and growth opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated with the drive to meet challenging targets.
  • Excellent business writing, proofreading, and attention to detail.
