Position: Quality Assurance/Control Assistant

Location: Wyckoff, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40-hour workweek
Flexible Schedule: Must be able to work 1 morning shift (5 am - 2 pm) and 1 mid-shift (9 am - 6 pm), with the rest of the days flexible.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance/Control Assistant to join our team. We are willing to train the right person at our Wyckoff, NJ facility. You will be responsible for inspecting processes, food products, and service quality before, during, and after food processing to ensure alignment with Company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Quality Managers:
    • Learn and execute proper QA procedures for pre-production, production, and post-production, including food safety and cleaning/disinfecting.
    • Understand employee responsibilities for each QA procedure and service quality levels.
    • Learn QA procedures for retail stores and the responsibilities of employees in these settings.
  • Quality Assurance Documentation:
    • Create written QA checklists for each procedure in each area.
    • Monitor processes, procedures, and service levels, inspecting items on the checklist.
    • Document and report deficiencies and errors, creating written reports as needed.
    • Communicate inspection results to appropriate company personnel.
    • Follow up on mistakes with the relevant personnel.
  • Training and Implementation:
    • Train and retrain new and existing staff as needed.
    • Suggest, create, and implement new quality control policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform any other related tasks as requested by owners and Quality Managers of the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Previous proven expertise in Quality Assurance/Control as QA/QC assistant, staff assistant, or relevant position is a plus.
    • Experience in training is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Effective communicator with the ability to follow instructions.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with leadership qualities.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving and independent thinking abilities.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Must be able to work 1 morning shift (5 am - 2 pm) and 1 mid-shift (9 am - 6 pm).
  • The rest of the days are flexible.
