Associate/Senior Associate, Global Medical Information

Position Purpose

The Associate/Senior Associate in Global Medical Information (GMI) plays a vital role in enhancing the customer experience at the first touchpoint. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining a global strategy for products with major indications in pivotal geographic regions. The role focuses on responding to unsolicited requests from healthcare professionals, consumers, and payers, while leveraging customer insights to drive medical launch strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain successful relationships within compound and cross-functional teams.

    • Collaborate across regions, geographies, and with alliance partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Portfolio Management

    • Manage a global portfolio of Medical Information responses, including medical letters, FAQs, slide kits, literature searches, publications, and webpages.

    • Respond promptly and accurately to unsolicited verbal and written inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers.

  • Customer Satisfaction

    • Strive to meet or exceed customer satisfaction objectives.

    • Utilize customer insights to inform and improve Medical Information strategies.

  • Omnichannel Strategy

    • Develop and implement an omnichannel content strategy to deliver medical information through preferred customer channels based on product lifecycle.

  • Training and Support

    • Participate in comprehensive product and disease area training for affiliates and call center partners, acting as the Medical Information expert.

    • Provide staffing support at Medical Information booths during scientific congresses.

  • Coaching and Improvement

    • Coach team members on specific deliverables and processes.

    • Engage in transformational initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of Medical Information services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare profession with at least 2 years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree, or a PhD in a relevant field.

  • Skills

    • Mastery of written and verbal English communication skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse environments and customer groups.

    • Proficiency in assimilating and conveying large volumes of medical information in an unbiased manner.

    • Experience conducting literature searches and reviews to support evidence-based responses.

  • Technology Adaptability

    • Familiarity with emerging technologies, including medical information resources, content management systems, and customer interaction analytics.

    • High-level end-user computer skills (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, presentations).
