Job Summary

The Associate Scientist (Chem Analytical) is responsible for analytical method development, method validation, method transfer, and providing routine analytical and stability study support for APIs, intermediates, and drug product formulations under the guidance and mentorship of senior chemists or supervisors.


Job Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  1. Compliance & Safety

    • Perform all activities in adherence to GxP standards.
    • Ensure compliance with quality and safety protocols as per organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
  2. Analytical Development

    • Develop and validate analytical methods using UPLC, HPLC, GC for APIs, intermediates, drug products, and raw materials.
    • Assist in analytical activities for lab trials, feasibility studies, and stability batches.
  3. Data and Reporting

    • Conduct assessments of existing data packages, feasibility studies, and remediation conclusions.
    • Ensure data packages are audit-ready and comply with local and corporate procedures.
  4. Instrument Operations

    • Comply with the Global Training Curriculum for instrument operations, material handling, and EHS certifications.
  5. Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely execution and resolution of deliverables as per milestone targets.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirements

  • M.Sc in Chemistry or M.Pharm

Experience

  • 0 to 3 years in Analytical Research and Development.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with oral solid dosage forms, liquids, semisolids, and APIs.
  • Theoretical knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Basic understanding of techniques like UV, IR, pH, and titration.
