Position: Associate Scientist - Assay Development and Screening

Key Responsibilities

1. Assay Development and Screening

  • Develop and validate biochemical and cell-based assays according to client requirements.
  • Build novel capabilities for assay development in new areas.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide insights related to ongoing studies.
  • Analyze experimental data and maintain accurate records in ELNB Bio Activity Tracker.
  • Collaborate with external service engineers to ensure laboratory equipment is operational.
  • Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for biochemical and cell-based assays.
  • Support team delivery on client-focused FTE/FFS projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members as needed.

2. Support Sales and Pre-Sales Efforts

  • Offer technical/scientific information to support proposal submissions through the line supervisor.

3. Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety SOPs and protocols within the laboratory.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with housekeeping norms and SOPs.

4. Data Integrity and Record Maintenance

  • Uphold strict data integrity policies and maintain accurate documentation.

5. Professional and Team Development

  • Enhance technical knowledge through continuous learning, formal training, and informal discussions.
  • Develop behavioral competencies through workshops and feedback sessions with the manager.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience in biochemical and cell-based assay development.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and laboratory documentation.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and SOP compliance.
  • Ability to guide and train junior team members.
