Job Title: Associate Scientist - Pharmaceutical Development

What You Will Achieve

As an Associate Scientist, you’ll perform critical laboratory functions including the analysis of organic, inorganic compounds, and biologics. You’ll focus on determining chemical and physical properties during the development process by verifying their identity, purity, and homogeneity. Your contributions will help us ensure that Pfizer’s products are scientifically sound and meet regulatory standards.

Your strong scientific foundation will help you assess tasks, make decisions, and contribute as a technical expert. Your focus and commitment will be pivotal in meeting our goals and milestones, contributing to Pfizer's readiness to help patients across the globe.


How You Will Achieve It

  • Develop and build effective team collaboration skills, fostering commitment, feedback, and consensus within the work group.
  • Prepare and review technical documents such as validation protocols, analytical test procedures, and investigation reports.
  • Interact directly with project team members and present data findings clearly.
  • Complete Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and safety training in compliance with department requirements and adhere to safety practices.
  • Perform experiments related to analytical method development, qualification, validation, and characterization for pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure all work is conducted according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Independently analyze experimental data and provide conclusions.
  • Present problems and propose solutions to group members during team discussions.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in Quality Systems in a Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment
  • Experience with laboratory data systems
  • Hands-on experience or working knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically with analytical instruments
  • Knowledge of the drug development process, including biological incumbents
  • Strong documentation skills with attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective interpersonal and communication skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Working knowledge of analytical and physical techniques used for the characterization of pharmaceutical substances and products

  • Annual Base Salary: $54,700 to $91,100
  • Bonus Target: 7.5% of base salary
