Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Associate/Medical Director to join our Medical and Sciences team. In this role, you will provide medical monitoring for assigned projects, act as the medical representative on project teams, and offer consultations as needed to clients and other Parexel service groups. In select cases, you will also assume the role of Senior Technical Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Leadership: Provide expertise in Proposal Development Teams during client bid meetings.
  • Project Support: Deliver all medical support necessary for the successful completion of projects according to contracted agreements.
  • Adverse Experience Review: Assess accuracy and clinical significance of adverse experience reports, evaluating their relationship to study drugs, severity, and seriousness.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Review reports submitted to sponsors and regulatory agencies, summarizing adverse experiences as required.
  • Safety Data Analysis: Analyze summarized safety data, including adverse events, lab results, and vital signs, to identify trends and ensure protocol adherence.
  • Document Review: Ensure medical accuracy, completeness, and clarity in medical and study-related documents.
  • Coding Verification: Review industry coding of adverse events and concomitant medications for consistency and accuracy.
  • Client Consultation: Provide medical expertise on protocol development and drug programs, as well as training to Parexel colleagues.
  • Medical Writing: Prepare clear, concise medical documents, including clinical protocols, integrated clinical and statistical summary reports, and journal articles.
  • Knowledge Promotion: Engage in activities that promote Parexel's medical expertise internally and externally, including meetings, training development, publications, and conferences.
  • Business Development Support: Assist in business development efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Credentials: Must be board-certified in Dermatology by a US or Canadian accrediting body, having completed training at an accredited medical school.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a physician in the industry or as a clinical trial investigator is highly preferred; strong candidates with an interest in clinical trials will also be considered.
  • Skills:

    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Flexible attitude toward work assignments and a commitment to learning.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks enthusiastically while maintaining attention to detail.

Travel Requirement:

  • Up to 15% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
