Role Overview:
The Associate Marketing Director will lead the marketing strategy for the JOINTS RECONSTRUCTION, MITEK SPORTS MEDICINE, and Digital Surgery business units in Mumbai. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable growth, developing marketing excellence, and aligning strategies with Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech ambitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing marketing operations efficiently, inspiring teams, and delivering impactful strategies that address customer needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Financial Results:

    • Achieve revenue and gross profit targets for the assigned business units.
    • Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence and realize potential.
    • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to maximize opportunities.
    • Collaborate with regional and global teams to create a growth roadmap for India and South Asia.
    • Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Critical Job Capabilities:

    • Drive marketing initiatives for JOINTS RECONSTRUCTION, MITEK SPORTS MEDICINE, and Digital Surgery.
    • Enhance brand equity and market presence through strategic partnerships and innovative marketing models.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns.
    • Leverage digital marketing to improve patient communication and outreach.
  • Customer Satisfaction:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and business performance.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and develop value propositions and professional education programs.
  • Internal Business Processes:

    • Manage internal relationships and processes to ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization.
    • Provide support and relevant information to sales and other departments for effective decision-making.
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing interventions and campaigns.
  • People Management:

    • Develop and lead a high-performing marketing team, ensuring a robust succession plan.
    • Foster team synergy and collaborate across business units.
    • Recruit, train, and develop talent, addressing development needs and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
  • Corporate Ethics:

    • Uphold the Johnson & Johnson CREDO values and ensure ethical conduct in all business activities.
    • Communicate the importance of CREDO principles to the team and integrate them into daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-graduate degree or diploma in Business Management.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in marketing management with some experience in people management. Experience in the orthopedic industry is preferred. Sales experience is also required.
