Your Role

In this role, you will play an essential part in conducting biological, chemical, and physical analyses on pharmaceutical products at various stages of the manufacturing process. These responsibilities include:

  • Analysis: Perform critical chemical and physical analysis on raw materials, in-process and final products, and samples from environmental monitoring programs.

  • Independence: Work with minimal to no supervision, leading efforts in analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Mentorship: Mentor and train junior analysts (QLA I and II), ensuring the team's success and development.

  • Review and Documentation: Perform data review and documentation in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

  • Equipment Expertise: Be a subject matter expert (SME) in mass spectrometry, HPLC, HPLC/MS, and other sophisticated laboratory instrumentation.

  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements, including cGMP, GLP, FDA, and QSR regulations.

  • Team Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, solve problems, and drive quality improvements.


What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a physical science.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.

  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in mass spectrometry, and knowledge of laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC.

  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, and FDA regulations.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Problem-Solving: Advanced technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex analyses.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasional weekend work.


Compensation

The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location. Additional discretionary bonuses may apply.
