Position Overview:

As an Associate Global Scientific Advisor, you will play a key role in providing timely, accurate, and credible scientific and medical input for various projects related to scientific communication around Novo Nordisk’s products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Scientific Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including the US affiliate, global medical affairs, and other functional areas.
  • KOL Engagement: Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to communicate medical and scientific information in different settings.
  • Content Development: Prepare presentations for Novo Nordisk standalone events and international medical congresses.
  • Manuscript Preparation: Edit, rewrite, and prepare manuscripts on clinical studies and scientific reports for publication.
  • Data Analysis: Compile, analyze, and summarize data from various sources as needed.
  • Sales Materials: Develop educational materials, product brochures, and literature for new and existing products.
  • Medical Paper Composition: Write medical papers based on outlines provided by doctors for presentations.

Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences or PharmD/M Pharm with 2-3 years of experience in research (post-doc) or medical/scientific writing.
  • Experience: Proven publication record, with experience producing scientific articles independently—preferably as first author.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work independently and proactively.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
    • Fluency in professional English.
  • Global Exposure: Experience working cross-culturally or in global teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.

About the Department:

The Global Medical Affairs department in Bangalore is an extension of the headquarters in Denmark. The team consists of highly motivated global scientific advisors (medical writers), project managers, graphic designers, and publication managers. We work collaboratively with Global Medical Affairs in Søborg, Denmark, and across various regions and affiliates. Our core competencies include scientific and medical communication, content development, project management, and publication planning for external medical events.
