Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director – Patient Engagement Data Insights to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the clinical systems and capabilities that support Patient Engagement at Eli Lilly. As the subject matter expert, you will define and implement strategies to measure and track the value of Patient Engagement initiatives, collaborate with business partners and external vendors, and ensure systems are optimized to meet organizational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Systems & Capability Expertise

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business strategies, processes, and technology related to Patient Engagement and clinical development.
  • Analyze, visualize, and communicate data insights to support decision-making across various internal and external sources.
  • Curate and extract data from multiple sources to build integrated datasets, drive recommendations, and inform decisions.
  • Ensure optimized integration of systems, processes, and technology across clinical information systems.
  • Support internal audits and external inspections as required.

Project Management

  • Lead and execute technology implementation plans, including organizational change management (OCM), communications, and training.
  • Define success factors for pilot projects and monitor progress to ensure clear decision-making criteria.
  • Identify and communicate global customer needs/requirements related to system performance and improvements.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives, including planning, communication, and training.
  • Identify risks in project implementation and system execution and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide progress reports and system metrics to leadership, product/process owners, and end users.

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Partner with leadership, Quality, Tech@Lilly, and external vendors to ensure seamless and efficient system usage across the portfolio.
  • Actively engage in shared learning and best practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with vendors to improve data flow and data management efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific, technical/IT, or health-related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in database management and data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI).

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience in clinical development systems and technologies that support clinical development.
  • Project management experience and knowledge of organizational change, including managing external parties (vendors, industry experts, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business insight with the ability to influence across functional boundaries.
  • Flexibility to adjust to unexpected business opportunities and drive change.
  • 10% or less travel.
