Role Purpose

In this role, you will play a key part in implementing DDIT’s new operating model in the business function, ensuring smooth operational processes, and driving continuous improvements. You will coordinate initiatives that focus on productivity, people development, and technology/operations, particularly for small to medium-sized teams. Your efforts will support the business function's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Process Management:

    • Contribute to the development of mid-term portfolio plans for the supported business function.
    • Identify opportunities to improve the operating model after implementation.
    • Coordinate the execution of key operational processes, such as financial reporting, budget planning, hiring strategies, demand and resource management, and supplier management.
    • Ensure smooth running of operations and help achieve operational targets.
  • Risk & Service Level Management:

    • Proactively identify and mitigate functional-level risks and issues.
    • Work on initiatives to enhance service levels, ensuring that the function meets customer expectations.
  • Support Function Leadership:

    • Assist the Global Head of Function and the leadership team with day-to-day management tasks.
    • Support leadership and associates to align with Novartis Operations' overall priorities.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Initiatives:

    • Contribute to operational excellence and cross-functional standardization, aiming for cost efficiency.
    • Support the implementation of processes, tools, and initiatives across functions.
  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure adherence to security and compliance policies for the operational scope.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:

    • University degree in IT-related field (e.g., MSc in Computer Science) or business/administration (e.g., MBA).
  • Experience:

    • More than 8 years of experience in working in global matrix organizations.
    • Proven ability to interact with senior management and collaborate across boundaries.
    • Track record of delivering global solutions at scale.
    • Experience in strategy development, financial management, and influencing without authority.
