Job Description: The Associate Data Manager is responsible for supporting Data Managers in various tasks related to documentation, data processing, and client reporting. This role involves exporting, cleaning, and reviewing clinical submission files to ensure their accuracy and completeness before delivery to clients. The Associate Data Manager will also handle client reconciliation feedback as part of the standard data transfer process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Checks: Perform quality and consistency checks on output files generated by study-specific programs.
  • Communication and Documentation: Liaise with Clario staff (Data Managers, Science teams, medical staff) regarding discrepancies and document all results/changes.
  • Study Documentation: Assist in preparing and managing study documentation (DMP/DTS) for client review under the guidance of a Data Manager.
  • Task Scheduling: Serve as a point of contact for updates needed to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) task schedule, ensuring tasks like edit checks and data transfers are completed timely.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Assist with metrics related to data issues or file delivery and ensure accurate study assignment information in systems.
  • Client Feedback: Act as the primary recipient of client reconciliation feedback between data transfers, ensuring timely investigation and action.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Communication: Clearly communicate project status with clients and project management.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and storage of study documentation related to data management activities.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, focusing on workflow efficiencies.
  • CAPA Management: Assist in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) issues related to study-specific data management activities.

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

  • Education: BS/BA Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with clinical data.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills. Detail-oriented.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office preferred. Exposure to SAS and/or SQL, and knowledge of CDISC SDTM are advantageous.
  • Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
