Assistant Manager - Occupational Health

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - Occupational Health to oversee the daily operations of the Disability Management team across multiple locations. This role involves managing workers' compensation, personal disability cases, fitness-for-duty reviews, and other medical-related issues. You will develop programs that incorporate health and productivity strategies, supporting the company's business goals, and provide valuable reporting and analysis to drive decision-making. This role includes training, mentoring, and ensuring compliance with medical surveillance and AED requirements across all domestic locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Disability Case Management, including complex cases and ADA issues.
  • Analyze trends and cost drivers for absence and disability management; lead calls with sites to implement solutions.
  • Design and implement onboarding, training, and competency programs for staff, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Manage medical surveillance and AED compliance across all locations, aiming for 100% compliance.
  • Work with the client company to implement initiatives supporting business objectives and guide the disability team with actionable plans.
  • Assist in budget development and financial analysis, ensuring fiscal responsibility and program sustainability.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse
  • Experience: At least 4-5 years of management experience in nursing and occupational healthcare, including workers' compensation/personal disability experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication, case management, and computer literacy skills, with a working knowledge of ICD9/ICD10/CPT codes.
  • Certifications: Experience in Occupational Health, Disability Management, or Workers' Compensation required.
