Position Title: Senior Medical Affairs Executive

Role Overview: The Senior Medical Affairs Executive will play a pivotal role in advancing medical practice and research by providing scientific expertise, building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and supporting various medical activities. This role will enhance Pfizer’s reputation in the scientific community and ensure the scientific, technical, and ethical integrity of all medical policies and initiatives. The position involves contributing to interactions with Healthcare Professionals, Continuing Medical Education (CME), Clinical Research, Sales Force Training, and business support in New Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Standards, and Business Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Key Opinion Leader / Key Organization Engagement:

    • Collaborate with medical affairs colleagues to implement medical activities aligned with brand strategies for specific products and therapy areas.
    • Develop and customize presentations for KOLs and ensure they are approved by the Medical Advisor before dissemination.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders and organizations in Oncology to support their clinical and research activities.
    • Offer appropriate research projects, CME programs, and clinical/educational grants based on KOL needs.
    • Facilitate non-promotional and educational interactions with Healthcare Professionals, including pre-launch and launch meetings, advisory boards, CME programs, scientific symposia, and institutional presentations, in coordination with Therapy Area Specialists and PSOs.
  2. Clinical Research:

    • Support the identification of new investigators and institutions for local studies to expand the research base.
    • Assist in the review and interpretation of data from locally sponsored studies and contribute to writing final reports.
    • Develop and execute publication plans and assist in writing or reviewing manuscripts for publication.
    • Create and implement Information Dissemination Plans/Programs.
  3. Medical Initiatives:

    • Provide medical inputs for KOL meetings, advisory boards, and customer pre-launch and launch meetings (CLMs).
    • Conduct and facilitate roundtable meetings and group discussions in coordination with the Medical Advisor for assigned therapy areas/products.
    • Lead CMEs as a speaker or moderator for assigned therapy areas, in coordination with the Medical Advisor, especially for new products.
  4. Medical Information:

    • Deliver timely, accurate, and balanced medical information to internal sales staff and external Healthcare Professionals, adhering to relevant SOPs and policies.
