Role Description Overview:

The AR Associate is responsible for managing daily activities related to denials processing, claims follow-up, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate revenue cycle operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Denials Processing and Claims Follow-Up:

    • Call insurance carriers to resolve claims-related issues and document interactions in the designated software and spreadsheets.

    • Follow up on pending claims to ensure timely resolution.

  2. Communication and Escalation:

    • Review emails for updates and changes related to project requirements.

    • Identify and escalate unresolved or complex issues to the immediate supervisor.

  3. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Update production logs with detailed notes and statuses for assigned tasks.

    • Prepare and maintain comprehensive status reports on claims and denials activities.

  4. Quality and Productivity:

    • Understand client requirements and ensure all deliverables adhere to quality standards.

    • Meet or exceed targeted collections on a daily and monthly basis.

    • Achieve productivity targets within specified timelines.


Desired Profile:

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related roles preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of claims processing and denials management.

    • Proficient in communication, both written and verbal.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Familiarity with healthcare claims software and spreadsheet tools.
