About the India Apprentice Program

The Fortrea India Apprentice Program is designed to provide fresh graduates with hands-on experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance. Through structured training and mentorship, apprentices will work on real-world projects that contribute to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

About the Patient Safety Solutions (PSS) Team

The PSS department is responsible for the collection, assessment, and distribution of individual case safety reports (ICSRs) and aggregate safety reports. As an Apprentice – Drug Safety, you will be involved in case processing, compliance reporting, and regulatory submissions to ensure patient safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter safety data accurately into adverse event tracking systems.

  • Assist in writing patient narratives and coding adverse events using MedDRA and WHODD.

  • Support listedness assessment against relevant product labels for marketed drugs.

  • Participate in causality assessments under the guidance of medical staff.

  • Assist in generating queries and collecting missing or discrepant data.

  • Prepare and submit Serious Adverse Event (SAE) and SUSAR reports to regulatory authorities, ethics committees, investigators, and other stakeholders within specified timelines.

  • Contribute to the preparation and review of Periodic Safety Reports (PSRs) in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

 

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field (Freshers eligible to apply).

Essential Skills & Competencies:

βœ… Attention to detail and ability to handle complex data.
βœ… Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
βœ… Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
βœ… Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
βœ… Strong numerical accuracy and proofreading skills.
βœ… Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
