Position Overview: Application Consultant Molecular

Your Opportunity

As an Application Consultant Molecular, you will serve as a Roche Diagnostics ambassador and a vital contributor to enhancing the customer experience with our IVD solutions. You will work closely with customers to ensure optimal use of our systems, provide professional training, and support ongoing product education.

This role reports to the Regional Expert and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction and business goals.


Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Training & Support

  • Deliver professional customer training for assigned analyzers, adhering to defined scope documents and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct advanced training sessions with the support of Regional Experts (Level 1) and the Regional Application and SC Support Specialist.

2. Query Resolution

  • Proactively resolve customer queries in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed for faster resolution.

3. Product Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide regular updates and education to lab technicians about product capabilities and advancements.

  • Conduct Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions on Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and professional lab management.

4. Pre-Sales Activities

  • Participate in pre-sales discussions and demonstrate product capabilities to prospective customers.


Who You Are

Education & Experience:

  • Degree Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Medical Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Lab Medicine, or equivalent work experience.

  • Professional Experience:

    • 5–7 years of experience working in a professional clinical lab in a hospital or reference lab, preferably at a supervisory level.

    • Proven expertise in the IVD or Life Science industry, particularly with analyzers, reagents, and similar systems.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster customer satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships.

  • Knowledge of Statistical QC and lab management concepts (CLIA accreditation) is advantageous.

  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional team, coordinating with sales and technical teams.
