Job Summary

The Analytical Scientist I supports laboratory operations by performing analytical processes, documenting activities, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. This entry-level role is critical in ensuring sample analysis is conducted efficiently while adhering to industry and corporate guidelines.


Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Conduct biological sample processing and analysis using appropriate techniques and instrumentation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of analytical activities and assist with document verification.

  • Perform data analysis and assist in troubleshooting bioanalytical challenges.

  • Operate and monitor analytical instruments and software for analysis runs.

  • Manage laboratory chemical and biological waste and ensure cleanliness of equipment and instruments.

Supportive Functions:

  • Provide support tasks to laboratory users, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Education and Skills:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's or College Degree in a scientific field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software.

  • Basic understanding of analytical chemistry principles.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency (specific to Quebec) with the ability to understand basic instructions and communicate simple messages.

  • Alternate certifications may be considered as equivalent.
