Primary Responsibilities:
Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient ancillary services
Analyze and correct CCI and Medical Necessity Edits
Understand Medicare APC codes and abstract additional data when needed
Ensure coding quality and productivity standards are met
Provide documentation feedback and physician queries as necessary
Stay current with industry updates and internal coding resources
Participate in departmental meetings and maintain record of coded/missing charts
Support additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
Professional coding certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g., CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC-H/COC, CIC, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A)
2+ years of outpatient facility coding experience
2+ years of ICD-10 coding experience
Proficient with PC and Windows environment, including EMR systems
Ability to work the specified 40-hour weekly schedule with 1 weekend day
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with encoder systems: eCAC, 3M, EPIC
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Experience with OSHPD reporting

Compensation:
Hourly wage: $16.88 – $33.22 (based on experience and qualifications)
