    Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of client accounts and support staff, ensuring compliance with billing policies and procedures while maintaining accurate records. Key duties include developing training processes for new hires, monitoring staff performance, ensuring timely payment of accounts, and delivering excellent customer service to clients.

    Responsibilities:

    Managing Client Accounts:

    • Foster and maintain strong relationships between our organization and clients by understanding their needs and objectives.
    • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded.

    Overseeing Support Staff:

    • Train and mentor new employees while managing the support staff effectively.
    • Delegate tasks and ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively.

    Ensuring Compliance:

    • Stay updated on payer, state, and federal guidelines to ensure organizational compliance.
    • Implement and enforce appropriate policies and procedures while training staff on compliance requirements.

    Managing Day-to-Day Operations:

    • Track key performance indicators and address any issues to ensure that the team meets its goals and objectives.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proper Posting of Insurance Payments: Accurately record and reconcile payments received from insurance companies for dental services.
    • Knowledge of Dental Coding and Regulations: Maintain a deep understanding of coding and billing requirements for dental procedures.
    • Adjustments on Insurance Payments: Review and make necessary adjustments to patient accounts based on insurance payments.
    • Accurate Notation of Patient Accounts: Keep detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and billing information.
    • Payor Website Utilization: Use online tools from insurance companies to submit claims and verify patient eligibility.
    • AR Reports Management: Diligently review and address outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
    • Denial Appeals: Resolve issues related to claim denials by responding to insurance requests for additional information.
    • Sending Insurance Claims: Submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement of dental services.
    • Timely Filing of Claims: Ensure claims are submitted within required time frames for timely reimbursement.
    • Adherence to HIPAA Guidelines: Maintain patient privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Must pass a dental billing skills assessment exam.
    • Must provide own equipment, including:
      • Computer
      • High-Speed Internet
      • Scanner
      • Printer
      • Shredder
      • Dual monitors encouraged
    • Strong time management skills.
    • Suggested study materials: "Coding with Confidence" and "Administration with Confidence" by Charles Blair.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience required.
    • Experience as a dental office manager is a plus.
