Job Overview:
A hospital system is seeking a visionary Nurse Director of Quality and Risk to lead transformative strategies aimed at elevating quality standards and patient safety across the organization. As Nurse Director, the individual will be responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement programs, monitoring clinical practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Spearhead the development and implementation of quality improvement programs.
Lead initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety across the hospital system.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
Quality and Risk Management:
Oversee monitoring of clinical practices and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance.
Analyze clinical data and utilize findings to drive quality improvement strategies.
Work collaboratively with clinical teams to assess risks, mitigate issues, and improve patient safety.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the hospital system complies with relevant regulations, including federal and state requirements.
Monitor, evaluate, and enforce adherence to healthcare quality and safety standards.
Team Collaboration:
Lead and mentor healthcare teams to implement quality and safety initiatives.
Foster collaboration between various departments to improve overall patient care and safety outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
A valid nursing license (RN) and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Proven leadership experience in quality and risk management within a healthcare setting.
Extensive experience in developing and executing quality improvement programs and driving patient safety initiatives.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and healthcare compliance standards.
Skills:
