JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Medical Advisor


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

A. Strategic/Policy:

  • Provide tactical and strategic inputs, and business/technical expertise to Product Management towards the ethical promotion of assigned products.

B. Operational:

  • Medical Initiatives/support for the Allocated Portfolio (New/Key Detail/In-line Products).

  • Provide strategic input and support for the creation of marketing/brand plans/medical development plans.

  • Initiate and/or review and/or approve promotional, training, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) material in compliance with relevant SOPs/regulations.

  • Facilitate or conduct promotional/educational interactions with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), such as customer launch meetings, advisory boards, CME programs, and scientific symposia.

C. Clinical Research:

  • Develop/write and/or review protocols for Phase IV, PMS, Observational studies, and other clinical programs.

  • Review and approve additional supporting documents like informed consent forms (ICF), patient information sheets, etc.

  • Assist in the preparation of Investigational New Drug Applications (NDAs).

  • Review and interpret data, write final reports for locally sponsored studies.

  • Develop and execute Publication Plans, review/approve/write manuscripts for study publications.

D. Medical Information:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and balanced medical information to internal (sales staff) and external (HCPs) customers.

E. Sales Force Training:

  • Provide medical training to new sales staff on basic sciences, TAs, and assigned products.

  • Offer refresher training and pre-launch/launch training to sales staff.

F. New Product Planning/Development:

  • Assist with preparing business cases and pre-commercialization activities for new product launches.

  • Support the organization’s efforts in developing local formulations/line extensions.

  • Function as custodian for coordinating internal and regional approvals for development requests.

G. Regulatory:

  • Provide medical and product expertise for new product registrations and defense of marketed products.

  • Write, revise, and review labeling documents for pipeline/local products.

  • Provide medical support for processing AE reports per relevant SOPs.
