About the Internship Program:
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting multiple summer interns to join our Research & Development team located in Jacksonville, FL. The Vision organization at MedTech is committed to improving eye health and has a portfolio that includes the ACUVUE® family of contact lenses, intraocular lenses (IOL), and vision surgery technologies. As a summer intern, you’ll collaborate with teams of scientists and engineers to help develop and innovate new products aimed at addressing a variety of eye health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Execution:

    • Work on a project assignment involving an eye health product, enabling technology, or internal operations related to research and development.
    • Projects may span from early research through to pilot/commercialization stages.
  2. Research and Development:

    • Perform deliverables related to fundamental research, process/product development, clinical study execution, regulatory submissions, test method development, and equipment development.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and apply equipment and processes.
  3. Continuous Improvement:

    • Act as an advocate for continuous improvement in internal processes and enabling technology.
  4. Progress Evaluation:

    • Review and evaluate the results of projects across various functional groups and contribute to project milestones.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Current student in a four-year degree program (Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Health Science, or equivalent).
  • Must graduate after the conclusion of the summer internship.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Availability to relocate to Jacksonville, FL for the summer internship.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a relevant field (e.g., internship, research assistant, coursework).
  • Prior work experience in a related role or industry.
