'Outcomes Research' in the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on evaluating the value and effectiveness of healthcare interventions, treatments, and technologies. It is concerned with understanding the real-world impact of healthcare decisions on patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and overall population health.
HEOR aims to provide evidence-based data and analyses that inform healthcare stakeholders, such as policymakers, healthcare providers, payers, and patients, about the value and benefits of different healthcare interventions. This research involves studying various aspects of healthcare, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, procedures, diagnostic tests, and healthcare delivery systems.
